Which Track Do You Choose

by:  Janel Sain
In a dream, I saw a train station with two trains on two separate sets of tracks.  Each individual at the train station had to choose which train they were going to ride.  On one of the trains, passengers were not permitted to bring anything with them.  It was an extremely fast moving train, its track was straight and led directly to the destination.  Any baggage would be a hindrance to the speed at which this train moves and would in turn, delay the train’s time of arrival.  The other train was slow moving, its track wound around the hills and mountains, and passengers were allowed to bring their baggage along with them.  Naturally, this ride was more appealing to most, due to the scenery, comfort, and ease of the ride.  As I looked at the tracks and the people, I kept hearing, “Which track do you choose?
In my own personal experience, I remember the day that I made this choice.  It was January 9, 2003, the absolute best day of my life!  The day that I came face to face with the One that I love so dearly today!  After 24 hours of extreme conviction of the Holy Spirit, I was well aware of the wretched condition of my own heart.  I knew that I had a choice to make.  I could continue on this path that I was traveling, or I could surrender all to Jesus.  I knew that God was asking me for my whole heart, my whole life.  As I stood alone in the kitchen that day, I finally made my choice, I dropped to my knees and cried out, “Whatever it is that You want from me, that I will do.” And I meant it!  I confessed and repented of my sinful life and asked God to change me.  That very second my will and Heaven’s will for my life collided, I was filled with the Spirit of God and radically changed!  That same day, God delivered me from alcohol, drugs, nicotine, and cursing!  It was truly a miracle!  The power of God is real!  There is power in a life fully given over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ!  Within one month, the Lord and I had thrown out almost my entire wardrobe, every CD that I ever owned, changed what I watched, the way I talked, and the way I spent my time.  I was so free and consumed by the Lord, His Word, His ways, and this new life in Christ!  This is what life is like on the fast track!  You can take nothing with you, you must surrender all, and in return, your life is redeemed, healed, and restored!  You are put on a fast track to fulfilling the purposes for which you were created.  Glory to God!
This is the choice!  Jesus told us in Matthew 7:13-14, to enter in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there are that go in thereat: Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there are that find it.  We can choose the fast track to freedom, restoration, healing, great love, peace, and joy, or we can go around the mountain with our baggage, never fulfilling God’s will for our lives.  My studious husband (and Jesus in Matthew 7:21) always says, that Heaven is reserved for those who do God’s will on earth.  The choice is ours to make.  Having been church leaders for quite some time now, my husband and I have seen many board both trains.  Unfortunately, the majority don’t surrender all and don’t jump on board the fast track, but those who have and those who do, grow rapidly and drastically!  It brings immense joy to our hearts, when we see fire and passion stir inside of fully surrendered hearts, when we see breakthrough, reconciliation, deliverance, healing, favor, and blessing, poured out on these yielded vessels!  It is one of the reasons why we do what we do!
The Apostle Paul said that he dies daily (1 Corinthians 15:31).  This is great advice for all those who want to fulfill their destiny!  We must die daily!  He is not speaking of literal death, but death to his carnal mind, his own desires and will, dying to anything that will take him off course, delay, or hinder the purposes of God in his life.
The choice is yours, Which track do you choose?
My prayer for you this day…
That you would walk worthy of the Lord, being fruitful in every good work, letting go of all that hinders and distracts, that you would be found faithful and watching, that you would choose the fast track.  That the love of God would abound in your heart, that you would be strengthened in your inner man, that the peace of God would rule in your heart, that you would dig deep into the Word of God, that you would breakthrough in your prayer life, and that your passion would be ignited to fulfill your destiny!
Praise the Lord. Praise, you servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord!  Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore!  From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the Lord’s name is to be praised!  Psalm 113:1-3
